Pre Turkish GP

My wife and I spent a few fantastic days in Rome last week, it is one of my favourite cities. Another flight, another delay. I fell asleep before take-off, woke up half an hour later and we were still on the ground, very disappointing.

August in England is supposed to be summer, yet earlier in the week it felt like winter. Next week is due to be better which is good because I’m on holiday!

Hopefully we’ll have a better race this weekend, things have been tough of late.

Post British GP and the South Africa Roadshow

I very much enjoyed taking my 8 year old daughter to the British GP, although it is a testament to the current state of Formula 1 that after 8 laps she lent over to me and said “This is boring, they keep going around in the same order”

The race at Hockenheim was excellent, a shame it takes rain to make F1 so exciting. Some teams and drivers handled the conditions better than others. Not sure we did a great job, although hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I spent last weekend in Johannesburg attending the Roadshow. What a great event, the roadshow team do a great job of bringing F1 to the people. Over 85000 people saw our 2006 championship winning car running through the streets of Sandton – AMAZING!

Flight delayed by 2hours on the way out (am I the only one who gets nervous when there is a technical fault on the plane :-) and like clockwork on the way back. Thanks again to Virgin Atlantic for the fantastic job they do!
