Post Spanish GP 2008

Getting both cars into the top 10 in qualifying shows that big improvements are happening, having a double DNF shows there is a lot still to do!

We sent two people to Spain on the IT-side, the first European can be a nightmare. Trucks that haven’t done a race since September last year, have a strange habit of being in a complete mess. So a pretty good setup for the two guys, and a normal low level of faults, resulted in a good event for IT

Pre-Spanish GP 2008

All of the teams target the first European race of the season to introduce updates to the car, so I’m not sure we will see much change in the running order. We hope the changes we are making will elevate us to the top of the 2nd tier, but only time will tell.

This is Fernando’s first home race of the year (with the introduction of Valencia we get another shot later in the season). He will get fantastic support, and Spain is a highlight for the team.

We are having our first planned IT downtime weekend of the year. We always try to cram so much into these 3 weekends, as it is our only opportunities to make major infrastructure changes.

I'm really pleased with the low number of IT issues at the first 3 races, I hope this continues!

Post Bahrain

The whole focus of the team has been shifted to making the car quicker. Our instruction is that anything which does not directly contribute to car performance should be put on hold until we provide Fernando and Nelsinho a car they can fight for podiums with. How is that for focussing 550 people! Something I have not previously experienced in my eleven years in F1

I have just spent a relaxing and quiet week on holiday in Norfolk with the family, much needed time off after an extremely busy winter. I needed to recharge the batteries in preparation for a tough few months coming up.
